Patricia Goodwin (Patino)

Janis and I were best friends after high school.  We commuted daily to Los Angeles where we both had summer jobs that became full time--she doing the paperwork for military draftees and I doing secretarial work in the LA County Clerk's Office.  We spent most evenings together playing cards for hours.  She changed jobs, and after a few years, we lost contact.  Then about 20 years ago, she tracked me down and called my office.  It was wonderful to hear from her and we agreed to meet for lunch.  We talked for hours and shared stories, and I was pleased to see that she was still the beautiful and kind women I knew in our teens and early 20s.  While we sadly didn't meet again, I will always remember her smile.  My deepest condolences to her family.
