I have committed to a week of camping and will be in Baja California during the October 10th 50Year Reunion. So sorry to miss--always fun to see old friends!

My husband, Jim Seiple, was kicked out of English class by Mrs. Koss, who made him pick up his desk and move it outside the door. This was hysterically funny to me. He actually handled it with good grace.

I attended UCLA and participated in the UC Junior Year Abroad program. I spent a year in England studying at the University of Birmingham and traveling extensively. I returned, completed my degree cum laude in English, got married and then began my teaching career for LAUSD. I retired July 2007 having spent 37 years with the district teaching in three different parts of the city in a variety of positions and grade levels.

I wanted to attend a great university and was lucky enough to experience UCLA and the University of Birmingham in England! I became interested in teaching when I volunteered as a tutor for inner city students during my sophomore year at UCLA. It turned out to be a great career for me. I was very happy in a classroom working with children.

Hmmm---I don't know if anyone might remember that I won the Bank of America trophy for most outstanding student in Math & Science our senior year at THS! I still have the trophy sitting next to my computer:)

I still ski--yes and wonder why I'm so crazy every time I gear up!

I am now taking painting classes and really enjoy that--especially plein air landscape painting.

I thought the senior fountain was really neat and I loved the relaxed, friendly atmosphere after transferring to THS after two years at George Washington HS.

I probably would do almost everything exactly the same way! It was a memorable time for me although I only spent my one year (my senior year) at THS.
